The idea that either Winrod, an anti-Semite and crypto-Fascist, or the nonracial populist Huey Long, is the basis for a character in It Can't Happen Here doesn't make sense. Either aspects of the personalities of both may have contriubuted to the character is possible, or there exits the possibilty that the character was based on neither of them or of no real person in particular, but the "either/or" idea that he is based on one of two such near-opposites is ludicrous. Also, it doesn't really belong in the article in absence of a citation to a published work that shows that a knowledgable critic has alledged such; what one or another editor thinks on his or her own is really just non-pertinent, unencyclopedic "original research". Generally, I wouldn't make a note on an 18 year-old TP topic, but I just removed this as WP:OR (before seeing this), so that gives some kind of an indication of how much (or actually, how little) attention to detail is being paid on this article. Angel L. Senquiz Ortiz MD made an edit on June 21, 2014, in which he made a personal statement -- without any footnotes or references to any sources -- that praised Gerald Winrod and criticized the well-sourced text in the article. This is a clear-cut case of undocumented Original Research, and as such it is strictly forbidden in Wikipedia articles. I will undo Dr. Senquiz's edits, and I recommend that he should adhere to WIkipedia core non-negotiable policies in the future, cease making personal statements in a Wikipedia article, and to use high-quality secondary sources (e.g peer review articles, books published by reputable firms; no self-published book or blog references, please, unless they qualify as valid secondary sources in accordance with established Wikipedia conventions). Dr. Angel L. Senquiz made a statement based on his personal experience, which has the historic value of a testimony. The existence of hundreds of churches known as Defenders of the Christian faith can be easily verified in the internet. The existence of the organization called The Defenders of the Christian Faith among the puertorican people in USA is verifiable through official government documentation.
